OCTOBER GALLERY ACCOMMODATION
Founded in 1979, October Gallery exhibits innovative contemporary art from around the world. We offer accommodation for visiting artists, writers, scientists and friends by recommendation. Accommodation options include single or double rooms with shared or ensuite bathrooms. Centrally located in the heart of Bloomsbury, we are within walking distance of the British Museum, Sir John Soane’s Museum, the theatre district and Soho. For roaming further afield, there are excellent transport connections: Kings Cross, St Pancras, Euston and Waterloo train stations.
- All Rooms have wi-fi and acoustic windows.
- All rooms have kettles, tea and coffee, hair dryers and luggage storage under the bed.
- Rooms with mini kitchens have microwave, fridge, kettle, dishes and cutlery, tea and coffee.
- Our building has a beautiful private courtyard with seating area available for all guests.
- We do not offer breakfast or room service.
- October Gallery’s café provides a full lunch service from 12:30 to 14:30 (Tuesday-Friday)
- We inhabit an historic building thus unfortunately we don’t have a lift to our guest rooms on the first floor or to Room 12 on the second floor.

Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-In Time: 3pm to 6pm (Monday to Saturday).
- Check-Out Time: By 11am.
- Sunday check-ins require a pre-arranged time.
- Bags can be dropped off from 11am onwards (12:30pm on Sat).
- Late check-ins (after 6pm) may be accommodated if arranged in advance, but no check-ins are accepted past 10pm.
Arrival Confirmation
- Contact October Gallery at least 72 hours in advance to confirm your arrival time.
- A staff member will greet you and explain the keys.
Building Information
- October Gallery is in a historic building without a lift.
- Guest rooms are on the first floor, with room 12 on the second floor.
- Assistance with luggage may be available but is not guaranteed.
Cancellation Policy
- Up to 21 days before: No cancellation fee.
- 8-20 days before: 20% of the booking fee.
- 3-7 days before: 50% of the booking fee.
- 2 days or less notice: Full price of the booking is payable.
- No refunds for unused days if a guest checks out early.
- Cancellation policy also applies to change of occupancy (Single or Double)
Location
October Gallery’s exhibition is open from 12:30 to 17:30, Tuesday to Saturday.
The Gallery is closed during official holidays and for the entire month of August.
(October Gallery office hours are 9:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday).
October Gallery Cafe is open from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm, Tuesday to Friday.

October Gallery will store items for up to 90 days. Items can be claimed by providing a description and showing ID. Unclaimed items may be disposed of or donated after this time period. Please contact the Front Desk to arrange a time to collect items. Without prior arrangement for collection, we will not be able to help you in the moment.
