Our approach to designing the resources has been to integrate Global Citizenship concepts into the information and activities within the artist packs. These activities are cross-curricular and can be used across a variety of subject areas, enabling different subject teachers to work together.
The Global Citizenship concepts themselves are interconnected and a thread of each runs through the packs. For example, the work of Nnenna Okore examines our culture of consumption and waste, asking us to consider: Who makes what we use? How do we dispose of it? Who does it impact upon? These questions encourage pupils to think about sustainable living and also our relationships with people in other parts of the world, what is fair and unfair and how our actions impact on people and environments.
With this in mind, we encourage you to take a look at all of the P
ARTICIPATE resources. To help you we have outlined the different ways they relate to Global Citizenship concepts in the table below. Just click on the links to open the relevant PDFs (requires
Acrobat Reader) or go to our
Teacher Resources page to search and browse the packs.
